The City Attorney is elected to represent and fight for the people of Los Angeles and to serve as the City’s lawyer. I believe that includes protecting workers from wage theft, renters from illegal evictions, consumers from fraud, and our environment from polluters. It also means getting serious about public safety, with strategies that break cycles of criminalization, and make everyone in our communities safer. And it means standing up against unconstitutional attacks from the Trump administration.

I’ve spent my entire career fighting for the people, from my start in the City Attorney's Office bringing landmark workers’ rights cases, to my work now with the California Department of Justice fighting the Trump Administration, investigating violations of state housing law, and suing billion-dollar tech companies. 
 

As City Attorney, I’ll restore integrity to the Office to make sure our City Attorney serves the people, not the powerful.
